Various days and times
A number of different small groups meet in homes and in the church at various days and times. We call them L.I.F.E groups and they are the #1 way to get better connected to both God and others.

Nursery
Sundays 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Every Sunday childcare is available for those under three years of age. Trained volunteers will keep your child safe and secure in our well-equipped nursery.
Adult Sunday School
Sunday at 10:00AM
We offer a variety of adult groups on Sunday mornings. Each meets from 10:00 to 10:50AM and visitors are always welcomed.
Revolution
Every Wednesday Night 6:30-7:45PM (April - May)
Revolution is a place for students to connect with friends, worship to live music, and be taught through a media driven message.
Youth Small Groups

This is a time for students to connect with their peers on spiritual issues and everything else going on in life.
Sr. High Hangout
1st and 3rd Sundays 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Sr. High hangout is a laid back evening for students in grades 9-12 Sunday night from 6:30 - 8:00 1st and 3rd Sunday Nights throughout the year.
Youth Summer Activities
Summer Break from Normal: Sign-up for small groups and Summer Trips
Summer Activities Kick-off May 26th - come and get connected to a smal group for the summer based on age and gender.
KidsQuest
Sunday at 11:30AM (dismissed from service)
KidsQuest is a song filled, fun time, and Bible lesson that children ages 3 thru 1st grade are invited to enjoy during the 2nd Sunday sermon.
Camp Vera
June 21 through July 2, 2010
A two week day camp offering hospitality to children born in foreign countries.
Missions Trips to Haiti
Each year a group from Olivet goes to Haiti to work on a project to bless the community and share the love of God
Meals from the Heartland
Meals from the Heartland takes the shares the abundance of food God has provided us in Iowa with the hungry people of the world
Choir
Thursdays at 6:30PM
Olivet's choir is a great place to worship God with your talents while meeting others who are a part of Olivet.
Karen (Burmese) Congregation
Sunday @ 1:00 PM
A congregation of Karen people who are refugees from Burma meet at Olivet for worship and care for new refugees arriving in Des Moines
Missions
Various Times and Dates
Olivet offers "hands-on" volunteer opportunities locally and we send financial & prayer support for various missionaries. First John, 3:18 guides us "Let us not love with mere words, but with actions"
Children’s Sunday School
Sunday at 10:00AM
Every week, through songs, games, and worksheets, kids are taught a variety of Bible stories and biblical themes. Age appropriate classes are available for kids from age 3 and older.
AWANA
Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:45 PM
AWANA is a high energy evening of games and activities all designed to reinforce a weekly Bible lesson for kids up to 5th grade.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Our kids and their friends spend 5 evenings learning about Jesus and having A LOT OF FUN!!
Olivet Christian Preschool
September - May in the mornings
For 25 years, the Olivet Christian Preschool has been running twice weekly classes for 3-year olds and thrice weekly classes for 4-year olds.
